President's Welcome

Welcome OAME 2012 Delegates! This year’s Annual Conference, organized by QSLMA, the Quinte-St. Lawrence Mathematics Association, offers you with the opportunity to experience CON.NETWORKS!

As a delegate, you will be inspired to make connections through professional learning, exploration of resources, and networking. OAME 2012 featured speakers will engage you in thinking about today’s 21st century learner, enabling thinking tools for students, cross- curricular connections, differentiated instruction, the nurturing of young mathematicians, and teacher and student efficacy. CON.NETWORKS offers two special focus sessions, including Math for Young Children  and Math Explorations  , each promising to support delegates in connecting research and practice. This year’s program offers you a variety of workshop sessions that will support you in your work, whether you are working in the classroom, at a school level or the system level. What an exciting learning opportunity we have before us!
I’d like to thank OAME 2012 workshop session presenters and featured speakers for their willingness to give so generously of their time and expertise to support the vision for this year’s Annual Conference.
